    Nishant K. Rao is the Country Manager of LinkedIn India. In this role, he is focused on scaling LinkedIn’s successful operations in India – this will entail furthering LinkedIn’s mission of making its 20 million Indian professional members more productive at what they do, and supporting Indian customers to hire, market and sell more effectively in today’s rapidly changing, social & connected world. Nishant has strong experience in business building (at both internet and enterprise software companies) across a multitude of leadership roles as a general manager, strategist, entrepreneur and technologist. He will look to apply this experience in being an evangelist of LinkedIn’s value proposition in India & in serving as part of LinkedIn’s APAC senior management team.

    Nishant joined LinkedIn in September 2011 and prior to taking up the role of Country Manager at LinkedIn India, he was Director of Business Operations and Global Head of Sales Strategy at LinkedIn’s US headquarters in Silicon Valley. In this capacity he has developed a solid understanding of LinkedIn’s different business lines and its consumer web operations. He complements this internal knowledge with insights from his previous leadership positions at McKinsey and Ariba Inc. which helped him develop robust experience in sales, go-to-market strategy, designing SaaS products and people management. Nishant also has a strong entrepreneurial background as one of the founding members of Epicentre Technologies – one of India’s first call centers—and serves as an advisor to multiple tech startups.

    Nishant got his MBA in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and International Business from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has the unique distinction of winning both MIT’s premier $100K Entrepreneurship competition as well as the International Venture Capital Investment competition. In addition, he graduated the University of Texas at Austin as a UT Distinguished Scholar with a a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Business.

    Dr. Rajib Mall

    Dr. Rajib Mall obtained all his professional degrees: Bachelor's, Master's, and the doctoral degrees from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He worked for Motorola(India) for about three years before joining the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT, Kharagpur, where he is at present working as a professor. He has guided more than a dozen Ph.D. theses and has published more than 150 refereed international journal and conference papers. He has done consultancy projects for organizations such as General Motors, Infosys, Honeywell, and Usha Telecom. He works mostly in the areas of program analysis and testing for traditional as well as emerging software systems.
